AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION
Target Audience: The general public who is battling lung problems or know someone who is. This target audience is very broad and they would better present their information if they split the website into different target audiences (ex. patient, parent, researcher, etc.)
Usefulness of Content: The content is useful in that it provides a lot of information about lung disease and other problems related to the lung. The language used to present the content though may alienate children or less literate individuals.
Consistency of Design: The American Lung Association's website template is consistent throughout the website. The Logo is always on the top left corner. The main tabs are at the top of the page and more specific tabs are on the left of the page. Often there is an image in the middle or a video along with word content.
Ease of Navigation: The content is not organized in a way for the reader to easily find the information they are seeking (a clutter of information, in a listed format). Although the content is important, there is too much of it on each page. It seems that eye flow was not taken into account when designing this website. I would also like to add that a lot of important information is bellow the viewing line (meaning that you have to scroll down more to be able to notice the rest of the information and tabs presented)
