aclfest.com

Intended audience
This is an ACL music festival's Web site so it's intended for anyone who is interested in ACL. The site's main audiences are people who have interest in the music festival. The site is also for people who watch ACL show on PBS.

Usefulness of content
The site can be easily divided into two sections: the festival section and the television show section. In the festival section, audiences can learn all kinds of information about the festival from tickets, lineup, maps, transportation, etc. In this section, audiences can also buy tickets online, buy souvenirs like ACL t-shirt or participate in various games for free tickets. I think this section covers all useful information about the festival really well and even includes activities for audiences to participate in. In the television show's section, topics included in this section are such as show's schedule, artists on each show, and interviews with these artists. These topics are also all very useful for people who want to learn more about ACL TV show.

Consistency of design
The main theme of the graphic on the site is blue sky, singing birds, green grass, all in all, things that indicate outdoor in the summer. I think this theme really goes along with what this outdoor festival is. However, this theme only appears in the section about ACL Festival. the other 3 main sections, ACL TV Show, ACL Store, and Interact, do not have this similar theme making the site's design inconsistent. Nevertheless, I think the site does a really good job with design in the ACL festival section. There are a lot of photos, graphics, and flash in each page making each page more interesting and dynamic.

Ease of navigation
I found the site a little bit confusing regarding its main four sections. The ACL Festival section's main page is the site's home page and everything under this section has the same design so this section is easy to navigate, however, other sections like ACL Store, Interact and ACL TV Show have completely different interface than the Festival's section. Not only do these sections have different interfaces from the main section, but if you click the ACL TV Show section, the site will open a new window which shows the ACL TV Show page under PBS' site. This is also a little bit confusing for me since this section is the only section with a new window. Another issue is the Interact section. When I first looked at this site, I had no idea what the Interact section is about and I guessed that it's about contact information but it turns out to be about games and activities that audiences can participate in to receive free tickets. I really think that this section should not be called Interact but something else that can indicate what it's about.
