E! Online www.eonline.com

Intended Audience:

*Ladies age 13-55 who keep up with American Pop Culture
*People who are trendy and fashion forward
*People who are interested in celebrity gossip
*People who are interested in the entertainment industry

Usefulness of the content:

As far as being useful to life, the website probably isn't that useful. But, I think it does accomplish its intended purpose well. It is intended to inform its audience about American Pop Culture and Celebrity Gossip, and is a form of entertainment. I think the website accomplishes this in an organized and easy to use way, and it does provide people like me with a form of entertainment. There is a section called "Whats Hot" that provides the latest celebrity news, a movie review section, and - my favorite - is "Fashion Police" which critiques celebrities fashion woes. The site may not be an essential for life, but it fulfills its purpose well.

Design Consistency:

The design is pretty consistent throughout. E! signature colors are light blue and red which is displayed throughout the site. The main headlines are mostly outlined in red, and the background is light blue. The content is sectioned into blocks of information each with a main headline and perhaps a drop down box or subheadings. "Whats Hot" is always in the middle of the page so I can quickly go straight to it to see what the latest news is. And the "Fashion Police" section is conveniently and consistently in the same spot, making it easy to find.

Ease of Navigation:

It is so easy to navigate this site because of all the bold headings and well organized drop-down lists. At the top, there are 6 different main categories to choose from: News, Photos & Video, Gossip, Fashion, Movies, and E! Shows. Then, when you click or roll you mouse over one of these there are more subheadings with different content under each, making it so easy to find what you are looking for. Throughout the site, there are big, bold headings with sub-tags that really help you find your way around the site. And, if you scroll all the way down, there is a site map right there for you in case you still can't find what you want. The one thing that is really annoying though, is the pop up ads that you have to read while you are sifting through the photos in the gallery. You have to click continue every time and they take a while to load.

I think this is a well made website.
