Loul's 2nd post: aa.com

American Airlines:

http://www.aa.com

Intended Audience:

Users of www.aa.com are (young and older adult) travelers (to domestic and international regions) who want more immediate access to their travel information. They enjoy services like early check in and change of seat options. They also frequently browse through the Net SAAvers section to find last minute deals (fare sales and special offers). Heavy users subscribe to the AAdvantage miles service and are loyal to using AA.com vs. checking on orbitz.com first.

Usefulness of Content:

The website displays updated information regarding My reservations as well as other flight information that could prove very helpful to the "road warrior". Although the content of the website is focused on providing immediate travel information it also gives the interactive viewer the option to peruse the website for cruise and hotel information as well destination highlights and activity ideas.

Consistency of Content:

The look and feel of aa.com is found all throughout the site. The site is also updated constantly and therefore the information is dependable. Although they have made improvements in the search section of the website (offering more options to search by price/schedule/price and schedule), the website has stayed consistent in content.

Ease of Navigation:

Although the main services are easy to navigate through (flight reservations, etc.), seeing through the clutter in other pages has proven to be a challenge. They seem to have a clutter of information problem (for example their miles page is difficult to navigate through).

The tabs are well positioned though and keep the enormous amount of information somewhat in order. I give them Kudos though for not making me scroll down so much to view my information.
