Bookswim

http://www.bookswim.com/index.html

Intended Audience:

  • People who read a lot but don't necessarily want to buy all the books-Are able to rent the books with an option to buy at a discount price

Usefulness of Content:

  • Not essential-a person can simply visit a free public library instead of paying a membership
  • But this site has more selection than a local library
  • Useful for people who do not have a lot of time to go out of their way but still enjoy reading
  • Useful for people who might have disabilities which make it hard to move around-books are delivered straight to them

Consistency of Design

  • Consistent throughout-blue waves for surounding background, main tabs centered at the top, topic tags on the left under a search box

Ease of Navigation

  • New and upcoming books are located at the bottom of the page-would attract more attention and probably rent/sell more books if they were at the top of the page
  • It's easy to find the information but a list at the top of the list titles (New Books, Upcoming Books, Top 5 Best Sellers, etc.) which, when clicked on, show the information might be faster
